Professor of Biblical Studies

ABOUT

Dr. Jason L. Quintern serves as General Editor of Ecclesia Militans Journal at Forge Theological Seminary and as an adjunct professor at Ecclesia College and Cornerstone College & Seminary. He previously served as Program Director of Biblical & Theological Studies at Cornerstone College & Seminary. In his teaching and course development, he works in the areas of biblical studies, hermeneutics, exegesis, biblical theology, systematic theology, biblical archaeology, philosophy, and eschatology.

Dr. Quintern holds a PhD in Bible Exposition, an MA in Biblical Exposition, and a BS in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University. His doctoral dissertation, A Defense of the Neronic Date of the Book of Revelation, was written in response to Mark Hitchcock’s defense of the Domitianic date and argues for an early date of Revelation during the reign of Nero. His scholarship centers on eschatology, the book of Revelation, biblical theology, and Baptist history.

His broader work includes teaching, writing, editing, and developing resources for theological education and the local church. He is the author of Rethinking Eschatology: A Postmillennial Perspective and co-author of Revelation in Focus: Two Perspectives on Its Meaning and Timing. His peer-reviewed article, “Baptism and Fellowship in the Seventeenth-Century Baptist Confessions,” was published online in Baptist Quarterly on March 11, 2026.

A United States Marine Corps veteran, Dr. Quintern brings academic training, ministry experience, and a commitment to careful biblical exposition to his teaching and writing. He has served in ministry through ReformEd Ministries and in correctional facilities in Virginia and West Virginia. He currently resides in West Virginia with his wife, Chelsea, and their four children.
