Master of Theology (tH.M.)

Program overview

Summary

The Master of Theology (Th.M.) in Biblical and Theological Studies is a twenty-four-hour degree program designed to provide students with an advanced grasp of Christian theology. Th.M. students will undertake three doctoral seminars of their choosing, requiring considerable reading and research. Th.M. graduates may transfer their seminar work into either our D.Min. or Th.D. programs. â€‹

*Students who do not possess at least nine hours of biblical languages must devote their elective allotment to Biblical Greek I-II and New Testament Exegesis.

Time Limitations

Although courses are asynchronous, each course has a time limitation of 20 weeks.

Schedule of Fees

All Th.M./doctoral students pay a flat tuition subscription of $80 established by the seminary administration. This fee covers tuition only and does not cover the cost of books and the graduation fee. Matriculated students who fail to meet their tuition requirements are placed on academic probation for a period of one calendar week. Students who exceed that week are suspended from their program. Reinstatement involves remitting all past-due tuition fees and the payment of a reinstatement fine of $50.

  • Graduation Cost | $65

  • Textbook Costs | Students should expect to invest $30-120 in textbooks for each course. Acquiring used books may significantly reduce this expense.

 

Admissions Prerequisites

  • The Th.M. program is restricted to male students. 

  • An undergraduate degree consisting of at least four years of full-time study.

  • A graduate degree in biblical and(or) theological studies, Christian education, pastoral ministry, religion, or a related field consisting of at least forty-eight credit hours of study.

  • In the event that an applicant does not possess at least nine hours of biblical languages, he must devote nine hours of his elective allotment to Biblical Greek I-II and New Testament Exegesis. 

  • Longstanding membership in and service to a local church.

  • General agreement with Forge Theological Seminary’s doctrinal stance.

  • Advanced proficiency in English.
